Did you know that the Canada Revenue Agency recognizes Registered Social Workers (RSW) as medical practitioners & payments can be claimed as a medical expense tax deduction? That means my fees can be submitted as a deduction on your taxes!
If you have benefits with your employer that include counselling or you have an EAP (Employee Assistance Plan), your counselling fees may be covered by your workplace in full or in part.
Counselling Sessions Fees
The fees range from $105 – $165 per hour and depend upon the situation (couples or individuals) and also on the type of therapy being utilized. All fees are discussed in confidence ahead of time. In addition, sessions are 50 minutes in length. EMDR sessions run from 60-90 minutes. When possible, I try to offer a few sliding scale appointments to clients.
